Hey Nidhi,

The beauty of Sickis is that I can access them via the internet...so not only do I not have to be in my office where my sticky notes are, I don't even have to be on MY computer!

Hey Jared,

1. Large notes: I certainly would love the ability to bold text in these, as they are potentially replacing small documents I keep on my desktop. Somehow copying and pasting from Word kept the bolds intact, but I can't add new bolds.

2. Panning: I didn't really realize I could do this (I think I accidentally zoomed out once, so I probably would have figured it out eventually). I'll let you know what I think of it after I play with it.

3. Privacy: Yeah...a link to a privacy policy or something simple like that might do the trick.

Thanks for the responses...it's fun talking about development of something other than Flock for once! :)

Hi Evan,

Re: your screen-shot - actually other than friends, this is the first screen-shot of anyone's page that I've seen and that alone is enough to make it interesting to me. In particular though, I found it interesting that you've got a couple of larger notes as well as some smaller ones scattered around. It makes me wonder if there are different usage patterns between long notes and short ones. If so, would a different editing mechanism be appropriate for one over the other?

It's also interesting to see how you're arranging the stikis on the page. They seem to be moved to the corners of the viewable area. Does this suggest that it's preferable to keep all your stikis visible if possible, rather than panning the page to the left or right?

As for your concern over whether the pages are private or not - that's a good point - something that I'm not communicating well at the moment. To be clear, all pages are private, meaning that only the creator of the page can view or update them. (and hence the reason that yours is the first screen-shot that I've seen). I made the decision to start this way firstly because it's much simpler to implement, but also because I wanted to be sure that people are not vulnerable to nasty things like cross-site-scripting attacks.

(and there's only one guy - me :).

Best wishes,
Jared Donovan.

Hey Jared,

Glad to see you guys are taking active interest in who and how people are using your product. What about my screen-shot is interesting to you?

I've only had a few days (and really a few hours of those days) with the product so far...not a lot of notes. My only issue was that I cannot tell if my account is private or public...a concern for someone who is detailing company-specific ideas on his stickis.

Rock on, hope to hear some more from you and submit to feedback@.

Hi Evan,

I'm Jared Donovan - the developer of stikis. Thanks for the great write-up of the site and I'll be really interested to read about your experiences of using it. It's fascinating to see your screen-shot and look at how you're using the space of the page.

The next big development push for me will be making pages shareable, so given your involvement with Flock (the social web browser) I'd be particularly interested in any thoughts you might have on this.

If anyone wants to send me ideas, annoyances or improvements for the site:
    mailto:feedback@stikis.com

Cheers,
Jared Donovan.
